Female heroines prepared to take on the bad guys have become very popular. Mix this with the supernatural and it’s a winner. Charmed ran from 1998-2006 and loyal fans still get caught up in that world. Charmed Action Figures are a fun reminder of the characters and stories. This was a series when audiences cared what happened to the characters. From the first roll of the credits, fans followed the triumphs, and the funny and tragic moments of the three beautiful sisters.

Prue, Piper and Phoebe Halliwell find out that they are descended form witches and that they have ‘magical abilities’. Phoebe discovers the Book of Shadows and reads an incantation that brings their powers to the fore. They keep these super powers secret and use them to fight the warlocks and demons of San Francisco. Each of the sisters has different skills and they can also merge together into the Power of Three. There is a range of Charmed Action Figures, finely sculpted and with articulation, of the individual sisters and as a group. Some come with themed accessories.

The figures can be used for role play or as part of a display. Part of the appeal of the show was to see the sibling relationships play out but they were individuals too. Prue was the eldest and was able to move objects (telekinesis) and was capable of astral projection. The actress playing her wanted to leave the show, so she had to be written out. Fans were shocked when Prue was killed by Shax, a demonic assassin.

Piper had been the middle child and she took on the responsibility of being the eldest following Prue’s death. Her powers were to freeze people and blow up objects, by sheer strength of will. Piper also wanted a normal life, as much as possible, and she followed her passion for cooking and opened up her own restaurant. She marries Leo Wyatt, who has powers of his own and acts as mentor and healer to the sisters. Leo is represented in the Charmed Action Figure line.

Phoebe is the youngest sister and her power is seeing into the future and the past. She can also levitate and is a martial arts expert and a successful author. Following Prue’s death, the series introduced a half-sister called Paige Matthews, so that there was still a threesome. Paige has the power of teleportation and she can heal people that she loves.

There are many key moments in the eight years. Charmed Action Figures have focused recently on the Season Six episode, Vahalley of the Dolls, with figures for Phoebe, Piper, Paige and Leo. The character of Belthazor is also a Charmed Action Figure. He was a human / demon with a mission to kill the sisters, possessing the powers of telekinesis and pyrokinesis. Nicknamed The Demonic Soldier of Fortune, his human side falls in love with Phoebe.
